A Celebration of Light, Form and the Courage to be authentically seen.

As a shy, awkward young man and avid reader, bookstores were my frequent source of solace. Books offered escape and companionship. Then, one day over forty years ago, while browsing the shelves at my favourite bookstore, a stunning art book of male nudes found me—serendipitously, it seemed. There, in my hands, my mind exploded as I gazed upon breathtaking black and white images of impossibly beautiful, almost godlike men, stirring something deep within.

From the confines of my closet, those photos revealed a distant utopia of physical beauty, spiritual openness, social acceptance, emotional intimacy, and most importantly, of men who freely loved other men.
Several decades later, as an out and proud creative middle aged man, I’m the photographer. The storyteller. But the men I photograph aren't those distant, unattainable gods; they are men of this world, my world —beautifully real, in all their authentic diversity.

The stories I tell with my photography are about a world of everyday men of all ages and ethnicities, shapes and sizes, lifestyles and orientations. Every one of them, like all of us, is on a journey. My lens seeks to help each man discover his own inherent beauty, capturing the profound in their true selves.
Each photograph is a brave collaboration, a new story we tell together, inviting you to see that unique beauty too.

The play of light and shadow reveals something profound: stories of self-discovery and transformation. This journey - from nervous first steps to complete liberation - beats at the heart of every image.
About
Hi, I'm Jeff, the photographer behind Fotohomme. For well over a dozen years, photography has been an unwavering passion, a craft I’ve dedicated myself to. It's been a constant creative refuge and a journey toward celebrating authenticity – both mine and that of the incredible individuals I photograph.
Creative pursuits have always bee a constant in my life, with photography being a passion going back to the late 1980' while in university. Now, it's my central creative focus. My work is all about exploring the interplay of natural light and masculine vulnerability. I strive to create collaborative, trusting spaces where everyday men can discover the power of being truly seen, often for the very first time. It’s a deep dive into light, form, and authentic human connection.
This path has evolved into a profound way for me to celebrate authenticity and self-acceptance, as I work exclusively with natural light and the brave, everyday people who step in front of my lens.
It makes me chuckle when I remember sharing my focus on male nude photography with my long-term partner. His response? "Can't you just photograph flowers?" While it made us laugh, it was also a humorous reminder of how society sometimes views an art form that, for me, is about celebrating the human form and spirit in its most honest and vulnerable state.
