Back in the days of independent bookstores, where countless hours of my young life were spent browsing and reading and exploring, I vividly remember the moment when a stunning art book of male nude photography serendipitously caught my attention. Each page exploded with breathtaking black and white images of impossibly beautiful, physically perfect men. At that stage in my life, with my closet door cracked slightly open but with both feet planted firmly on the inside, those amazing  images resonated with me in deep and powerful ways. They introduced me to the story of a distant world far beyond the closet. It was an utopian world filled with physical beauty, spiritual openness, social acceptance and emotional intimacy, and most importantly, of men who freely loved other men.

Fast forward nearly a quarter century, now an out and proud, creative middle-aged man, I return once again to male nude art photography, but this time as the story teller. The world as I know it is a different place than the one I dreamed about many years ago; ultimately it's a better world because it's real and it's mine. The stories I choose to tell with my photography are of a world of everyday men of all ages and ethnicities, shapes and sizes, lifestyles and orientations. Everyone of those men, like all of us, is on a journey. These photos capture those moments when each man bravely and beautifully collaborated with me to tell a new story, Those stories, perhaps real, perhaps fictitious, are what I share with you.
